Zukića Kosa Bridge

Structural Rehabilitation Design of a 1983 Prestressed Concrete Bridge Constructed with Pre-Tensioned SAN 75/90 Precast Girders

Completed project

Bridge Zukica Kosa at the M17 main road between Sarajevo and Konjic has been finally rehabilitated and opened in all three lanes. It is one of four bridges with same type that had been constructed in 1983 before Olympic Games in Sarajevo as a part of reconstruction measures and improvement of driving conditions on M17 main road. Contractor was Viaduct Zagreb and according to the Traser Sarajevo design, bridge was constructed from pre-tensioned SAN 75/90 precast girders in very complex route elements. After almost 40 years of exploatation in tough winter conditions, bridge was ready for serious rehabilitation measures.

Rehabilitation was carried out in two phases by HP Investing Mostar, while Main design was prepared in 2017 by INFRA designers team that was in that time worked for IPSA Institute Sarajevo.
