Zenica Composite Bridge

The steel structure of the composite bridge L = 28 + 2 × 40 +28 = 136m over the river Bosna, the railway line Doboj – Zenica and the main road M17 in Zenica has been completed today. Total weight of the steel structure of 180 tons was fabricated in Turkey, and with the condition of truck transport with maximum assembly dimensions 12m × 2.4m was transported to Zenica. The steel twin – girder structure is designed as shop welded site bolted structure. Preliminary design, main design and detailed design including workshop drawings, was prepared by Infra Ltd Sarajevo, while the contractor is Cengiz Insaat from Turkey.
